StNicsKids (0-10)

Children

During this time of lockdown we are meeting online as families with the StNicsKids Breakfast Club. This runs from 9-9.30am before the main 10am Sunday service.  Email caroline@st-nics.org for the zoom link.

Welcome to StNicsKids!

Here at St Nic's, children are highly valued and we are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with them in an environment that is safe, loving and great fun. In partnership with parents, we long to see the children become devoted to God and excited about being full members of the church family. St Nic's is committed to the safety of children and works within a Child Protection Policy agreed by the PCC.
For more information regarding StNicsKids please see our noticeboard at the back of church, or contact Caroline caroline@st-nics.org.

Interested in joining StNicsKids?

Do you plan to come along to a StNicsKids group regularly? That’s great! An Under 18’s registration form will be required to register your child(ren). Speak to Amba or Caroline, or pop a completed form (also available from the Children & Youth welcome board at the back of church) into the office.

Sparklers (ages 0-3)

Sparklers is our Sunday group for 0-3’s. We start at 10am together in the church before heading over to the Upper Hall for craft, snack and a Bible story time. Parents/carers are welcome to stay with their child(ren) or drop them off, signing them in/out. There will be a Leader and various helpers each session.

JTeam

All Stars and Comets (ages 3-10)

On a Sunday morning, Comets is the place to be for 3-5 year olds (from the September after their 3rd birthday to end of Reception Year). We start at 10am together in the church before heading over to the Upper Room. Look out for Desiree or Mark who will be leading the sessions!

All Stars is our group for those in School Years 1-5. We start at 10am together in the church before heading over to the hall foyer, where the Leaders will meet and register the children.  Year 4 & 5 will then head up to the Balcony for their Bible teaching before joining Year 1-3 in the Hall for a range of activities including craft, games, sport, challenge, prayer & song.

AllAge

All Age Services

Throughout the year, we routinely gather as a church family for the duration of the 10am service for an All Age service. These usually fall on celebration Sundays or Half Term weekends and typically last for 45 minutes. They have an interactive, engaging style that is especially suitable for children & families.

Outside of term time, where there is no separate children’s work or an All Age service running, we encourage families to join in with the regular service together. The pop-up creche is available for under 4’s at the back of church on these dates and booklets for primary school aged children relating to the sermon topic will be available for children to explore.

Foundations (Tuesday, 9.45 - 11.15am)

Foundations is a group of women who meet weekly during term time in St Nicolas Upper Hall. In order to encourage each other through the challenges of life we chat, study the Bible and pray together. Babies and pre-school children are welcome and a creche is available.

Hidden Treasures event

Hidden Treasures (Partial re-opening May 2021, BOOKING ESSENTIAL)

Hidden Treasures is our parent and toddler group at St Nicolas Church; a place to find fun, friendship and faith! We open at 10am each Monday morning in term time for under 5's and their grown-ups. We look forward to welcoming you and your little one(s) for an hour of fun with messy play, small world, toys and a together time of singing and a blessing from the Bible.

We have begun a staggered reopening as restrictions allow. Pre-booking is essential this term with registration for the whole half-term block. We are running between 10-11am (doors open at 9.50am for registration) each week in the church hall, with limited spaces of up to 15 adults. The suggested donation is £1 per child per session.

Registration for this half-term block is currently full. If you would like to join the short waiting list for a space or would be interested to know when the registration for the next half term opens, please email hiddentreasures@st-nics.org and we'll be in touch. Thank you!
